GFWC Bloomington-Normal Junior Woman's Club

The Public Issues program focuses on two programs:  Community Safety and Citizenship.  The Community Safety program works to education members about home and vehicle safety issues as well as other safety issues within the community.  The Citizenship program educates members about the importance of voting and promotes active citizenship within the community.  This service program area is also dedicated to supporting our troops and veterans as well as Native American Affairs.  Organizations/individuals we have been able to help include:

Current Collections & Projects

Current Collections~

Coupons-We have adopted an US Army Base in Schweinfurt, Germany.  Coupons can be sent overseas to help military families with expenses at their local commissaries.  We can send them coupons that are up to two months expired.

Cancelled Stamps-Save any cancelled stamps you may have and we can send them to the Franciscan Sisters of the Sacred Heart.  The order sells the stamps we send them to raise money for their foreign ministries.

Paperback Books-We can send them to the Danville VA Medical Facility for its residents. 

UPC Codes- The UPC codes from Campbell Soup, Prego and Pepperidge Farm products can be sent in to the VFW National Home for Children.
